Data sovereignty

Not just where data lives. Who controls it.

Data residency tells you which country your server is in. Data sovereignty tells you who can actually access what is on it, and under what circumstances.

A server in Germany still hands over its contents if the hosting provider is compelled to. A device seized at a checkpoint gives up everything if the keys are stored on it. Residency is the easy question. Sovereignty is the hard one.

LibertiTec is built around one principle: the organisations that collected the data control who can read it. Not us. Not your cloud host. Not whoever is holding the hardware.

That is what we mean by sovereignty.
